Christmas has always been a wonderful holiday and a happy time with families. However Travelling on holidays is kind of fearful because of the enormous crowd and all these boring things and little stuff to remember. Traveling on Christmas holidays CAN be made easy and fun with this guide to top travel destinations and tips for those interested in spending Christmas away from home.

According to site Orbitz.com, the most popular Christmas destinations in America booked during 2008 were:

1.Las Vegas, Nevada
2.Orlando, Florida
3.New York, New York
4.Honolulu, Hawaii
5.Chicago, Illinois
6.San Francisco, California
7.San Diego, California
8.Anaheim, California
9.Lahaina, Hawaii
10.Miami, Florida

And if you want, you can also fly to Europe for Christmas, places like Germany, Austria and Switzerland can be incredibly beautiful at this time of the year. Many of these regions are snow-covered and lit brightly for the holidays. Christmas is kind of THE most picturesque times of the year to be in Europe.

Travel Tips
1.When flying, never gift wrap the presents until you arrive at your destination. If you do, you will be required to un-wrap them at the airport to be inspected.
2.If wanting to use your cell phone abroad, check with your cell phone provider to add international long distance to your plan instead of being surprised by charges as high as $2.49 a minute.
3.Always pack your cell phone charger in your carry on baggage.
4.To avoid being bumped due to overbooking, fly on Tuesdays or on the actual holiday itself.

NOW, have fun travelling!!

Green travel is not just what happens at the destination, or indeed how you get there. It does not demand that you eschew air travel altogether or hotels or comfort, or that your holiday is within 10 miles of your home. Rather, it asks you to pack your brain as well as your swimsuit, and to assess and then act on the impact of your visit.

At its best, it’s kind to both place and people, and rewards the host as much as the tourist. It is mostly small-scale, unique and personal. It certainly appeals to the intellectually curious, the ecologically and socially responsible, and to the politically aware. It seeks to add to the sum of knowledge and improve, or at least not harm, the natural world.

It can be on the other side of the world or down your road, in a forest or in the city. Even flying can be justifiable, if you take a plane only occasionally and are sensible about it. The golden rule must be that if our actions hurt in one way, then we should compensate in another.

Dave Martin, who helps run community-owned Bulungula Lodge in South Africa, argues that rather than cutting out flying, we should be selective about where we visit. Africa is the least polluting continent on Earth but most needs the income, jobs and good development that inspired tourism brings. “Cancel your holidays to the rich world and save up for a worthwhile holiday to the developing world,” he says.

At its worst, green travel is a cynical lie, told by travel agents, tour operators, airlines and cruise lines claiming to be green but actually peddling mass, crass tourism. It has been used to cover any encounter with indigenous peoples, any foray into a forest or trip by bicycle.

Happily that is changing. Hotels used to call themselves green if they offered not to change the towels every day; these days, people demand evidence of real commitment to community, place and the environment.

The Peruvian government has announced a plan to cut air fares and hotel rates for travellers in a bid to boost tourism even though the country’s biggest lure, Machu Picchu, is still closed to visitors.

Peru’s tourism Minister Martin Perez said the promotion begins on Thursday and will be extended first to domestic tourists before being offered to international visitors.

The offer includes up to 50 percent off air fares to Cuzco as well as rooms at some of the city’s main hotels.

Officials are trying to restore a rail line to Agua Calientes – the main stop for visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage Site – that was cut off for five days due to rain-induced landslides and floods in late January.

Perez added that the rail repairs are advancing and that officials hope to be ready for tourists by the start of April.

When I first look at this title, I feel very comfortable. "Nothing to do", How relax! "A great place to do it", what a free enviroment! But when I see there is "no TVs, no cars, no telephones, and next to no people", a feeling of surprise and disappointment come immediately with me. Of course, if I still think so, I will not recommend you this passage. I am curious how things go on at this case. Maybe we will feel much better to get in touch with nature while no possible to be disturbed. Now look at this passage written by somebody I don’t know:

‘Lilac bin bags – you must live somewhere posh." Colin the boatman eyed the bags, courtesy of Oxford city council, that sealed my supplies for the journey across to Bardsey Island. I’d followed the pre-trip instructions to the letter, including the watertight bin bags and the ominous advice to "bring more food than is required for a week, as occasionally the weather may prevent the boat from crossing". Apparently, bad weather can mean up to a third of boat trips over the notoriously treacherous Bardsey Sound don’t run.

My crossing did take place but only because the vet and a local farmer needed to reach Bardsey – Ynys Enlli in Welsh – which lies off the far tip of the Llyn peninsula in north-west Wales. The regular service for day trippers had been cancelled. So, clutching my bottle of wine to my chest (it was my only company for the stay, and so needed to survive the journey intact), I bumped over the rough seas for the 20-minute crossing, watching the seabirds dive-bombing into the waves.

My wine and I arrived safely, and we were greeted by a proud Welsh dragon fluttering from the flagstaff at Bardsey’s tiny harbour. Emyr Roberts, Bardsey’s warden, helped unload my luggage and food supplies onto a tractor, and we bumped again along the island’s only track to my house, set beside the chapel and overlooking the ruins of the 13th-century Augustinian abbey of St Mary’s. For Bardsey is a holy island, a place of pilgrimage since Celtic times. Three journeys here, it was said, equalled one to Rome. Legend has it that 20,000 saints are buried here, so I was not to be alone after all.

As I settled into my house, Ty Capel, Emyr explained the arrangements. There is no electricity on the island, and no mains drainage, so all washing is done by hand, and the toilet is a composting one in the outhouse.

Surprisingly for such a damp, water-bound place, water is scarce, with only a few small springs to supply the houses, so all waste water is reused in the pretty, shrub-lined garden where I could also pick herbs to flavour my meals. Front doors are left unlocked, so there are no keys to lose.

Bardsey itself is tiny: two miles long, and less than a mile wide, it’s a sliver of land with one round hill, suspended between vast sea and vaster sky. It is closer to Ireland than to England, was a haven for pirates after the decline of the abbey, and has its fair share of tales of wreckers and Whisky Galore-type shenanigans. It is also a hotspot for migrant birds, with an observatory established here in 1953, and since 1979 it has been owned by the Bardsey Island Trust, which aims to manage it as a living community rather than as a nature reserve, like many of its neighbours.

Known as a winter sports paradise (just look at those glistening white 4000m-plus Alpine peaks), Switzerland is where people first skied for fun. Illustrious names evoke all the romance and glamorous drama of the mountain high life: Zermatt, St Moritz, Interlaken, Gstaad, the Jungfrau, Verbier and more. Cities like Geneva (the most cosmopolitan), Zürich (the most outrageous), Basel and Lausanne heave with heady artistic activity and sometimes incendiary nightlife.

The grandeur of the finest churches, such as the cathedrals in Lausanne and Bern, contrasts with sparkling but lesser-known treasures like the frescoes of Müstair or the abbey complex of St Gallen (both World Heritage sites). The list of enchanting towns is endless: from Lucerne with its covered bridge to Neuchâtel and its fountains; from Gruyères with its cheese, and Grimentz with its traditional timber houses to the sgraffito-blazoned buildings of Engadine towns like Scuol and Zuoz.

Whether visiting the remotest Ticino villages or sampling the finest of Valais wines, you’ll find Switzerland a chocolate box bursting with unexpected flavours. And its also a fabulous place for the children in winter time, there’re endless games and adventures. So, What are you waiting for? Get packed and roll your way to this winter wonderland–Switzerland! And don’t forget bring me photoes!

When every holiday come the top place to visit has always been New Zealand. Well, maybe not always but still this is one of the most favorable place for tourists. New Zealand has just about everything to satisfy the different palates a traveler might have. For those who are quite comfortable with comfortable cuddles, champagne breakfasts in bed followed by lazy morning strolls amid lush and beautiful scenery, there are rolling hills and rich green plains, the perfect location for romantic picnics.
As you fly into South Island’s largest city and main international gateway of Christchurch, you will be swept into the cosmopolitan feel of the city. There are 19th-century grey stone buildings, tree-lined avenues and extensive leafy parks. The Cathedral Square is where the heart of all the action is. Here, you will definitely not miss The Wizard, New Zealand’s only human attraction. For a romantic rendezvous at the break of dawn, ballooning is an experience not to be missed, especially in Christchurch’s ideal geography and climate. Take off from any park in the city and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the endless ocean, the majestic mountain peaks and the undulating plains. However, where the balloon is launched is dependent on weather conditions.
If you are scared of heights and taking to the skies is not exactly your cup of tea, then perhaps the idea of gently gliding on the Avon River might be more appealing.
Francavilla al Mare is a city-limits of about 25 thousand amid abreast Pescara, Abruzzi on the Adriatic coast. This carnival is advised so far aloft and above the bounded antagonism that is artlessly accepted as the "Carnevale d’Abruzzo" (the Abruzzi Carnival). This seems to be the alone such case in all of Italy with barring of Piedmont. Interestingly abundant the Carnevale d’Abruzzo dates in its present anatomy aback to alone 1956 if it greeted a accumulation of Martians in a aerial saucer. But of advance Francavilla al Mare does not host the alone Carnevale website in Abruzzi and you should crop a attending at several of them.

Abruzzi is home to the a lot of adverse Carnevale in all Italy. Abruzzi’s basic city-limits of Aquila, home to about 70 thousand, is amid on a hillside in the average of a attenuated valley. It is partially anchored on an age-old lakebed; this agency intensifies seismic activity. On February 2, 1703, Carnival day, a above convulsion addled antibacterial the city-limits and killing three to 5 thousand people. In anamnesis of the victims the Aquila Carnevale consistently crop abode on February 3, clashing all added Italian Carnevales whose date varies in action of Easter. Aquila’s a lot of contempo convulsion took abode on April 6, 2009 killing over three hundred people. This was the deadliest Italian convulsion in about thirty years.

There are many, abounding Carnevales in Abruzzi. A fractional account of the cities and towns includes Civita Castellania, Poggio Mirteto (where it is accepted as Carnevale Liberato – Liberated Carnival), Lanciano, Citta Sant’ Angelo, Francavilla, and Versila, the ancient home of opera artisan Giacomo Puccini, poet, novelist, dramatist, and political Fascist Gabriele d’Annunzio, and Carlo Collodi who wrote Pinocchio. Yet with all this antagonism Francavilla al Mare’s is still accepted as the "Carnevale d’Abruzzo."

Cicerchiata is the acceptable Abruzzi Carnevale treat. It looks like peanut breakable but is commonly fabricated from baby beans accepted as Cicerchie, which abominably are accepting harder and harder to find. Increasingly the beans are replaced by absurd dough. Besides the beans (or dough) the compound calls for butter, sugar, eggs, and white wine and for the frying, what abroad but olive oil? Note to dieters, the acceptable compound calls for frying the admixture in one inch of olive oil. This adorable bowl is captivated calm by a admixture of honey, sugar, and minced candied fruits. Accompany Cicerchiata with a Verdicchio white wine from the adjoining Marches arena or even better, a Falanghina white wine from the Campania arena to the southwest.
